SAY AVOID IT
Beyond good and evil is a noir, sci-fi thriller from the brainchild of the Rayman series, Michel Ancel.
The game follows Jade and Pey’j. caretakers of a orphanage and part time investigative journalists. Pey’j is a handy mechanic and he gives you plenty of cool toys to play with. I wont spoil any of the plot details and it’s a gripping, fantastic story which everyone should experience for themself with no spoilers.
Gameplay is also of the highest grade. The stealth is really satisfying and the game mechanics lend themself well to journalistic investigation. Imagine Pokemon snap with government subterfuge.
The gameplay also extends to various mini games like table hockey, races, animal documentation and all manner of quirky and endearing interactions with the world. Finding all of the secrets within the orphanage is highly charming.
It’s a sixth generation release, so the graphics aren’t outstanding by today’s standards. But the distinct art style has helped it stand the test of time. The Steam & digital download release runs quite nicely. And it can be picked up for a low price also. Highly recommended.
